From first contact to confident daily use
Here's exactly what happens when you sign up for a Bright Compendium course — no surprises, no hidden steps.
Get in touch
Contact us by phone, email or through the website form. Tell us which city you're in and roughly what you need help with. We'll have a short conversation to understand your situation and confirm which course or combination of modules fits best. There's no obligation at this stage.
Choose your course and city
We run sessions in Lisbon, Porto and Coimbra. Once you've confirmed which course you'd like to attend, we'll let you know the upcoming dates available in your city. Sessions are scheduled to work around typical business hours where possible.
Preparation before the session
We send you a short preparation note a few days before the session. It covers what to bring (typically your laptop and login details for any accounts we'll be working with), what to expect, and the address of the venue. The preparation required is minimal — we handle everything else.
The session itself
Sessions take place in a comfortable room with good equipment and reliable internet. The group is small — never more than a handful of participants. The instructor goes through each topic step by step, demonstrating first and then guiding everyone through the same steps on their own device. The pace is set by the group, not by the clock. Coffee is provided.
Written notes to take away
At the end of the session, each participant receives written notes covering everything covered in plain language. These are designed to be useful reference documents — not textbooks. If you need to remember how to do something three weeks later, the notes are there to remind you.
WhatsApp support group
After the session, participants are added to a WhatsApp group for their cohort. This is where the ongoing support happens. When you're trying to do something at your desk on a Tuesday afternoon and it's not working the way you expected, you can ask in the group and get a response. We monitor this actively and respond to questions as they come in.
What to expect on the day
Bring your own device
Participants bring their own laptop. This means everything you set up during the session is already on your machine and ready to use when you get home. We can advise on any device-specific issues on the day.
Bring your login details
For courses involving the AT portal or Google Business, you'll need your NIF and existing login credentials. We'll tell you exactly what to bring in the preparation note we send beforehand.
Small group format
Groups are kept small so that every participant gets individual attention. You won't be sitting in a lecture watching a presentation — you'll be doing things alongside others at a pace that works for the group.
Three cities
Sessions run in Lisbon, Porto and Coimbra. The venue details are confirmed when you book. All venues are accessible, comfortable and equipped with the necessary technology and internet connection.
